Progressive Judaism in Germany
Progressive Judaism is one of the major forms of Judaism and was the biggest form of Judaism in Germany until the Holocaust. It regards the revelation as a dynamic and ongoing process between G'd and mankind. Judaism has always been a pluralistic religion, which is committed both to conserving and renewing its principals and rituals. Reform Judaism (in Germany known as Liberal Judaism) strives to continue this dynamic process and to live Judaism in the context of our time. This includes among other things prayers in languages other than Hebrew and the equality of men and women.
